Regarding DCMA takedowns

After being informed of the DMCA notice by gotwoot staff, AnimeONE has decided to comply to the request. Hellsing Ultimate OVA and Nabari no Ou will be dropped and distribution for all related project titles shall be discontinued.

    suiton: If you mean remaining current projects then it’s M&H as you mentioned (15 should be out soon), Macross Frontier, and Nodame Cantabile Paris.

    That’s some good news I guess. I was mainly concerned about Michiko as it is the only AonE project that I follow lately.

    Pity, it would have been nice to have those series completed by you for sake of collecting, regardless if I buy them later or not (I buy lots of stuff that I have already watched as fansub).

    Since you’ve dropped Nabari no Ou. I would like to see you pick up Blue Drop. Only two groups worked on it, one did a horrible job and the other fell off the face of the earth again.

    so the work you did on Hellsing OAV 05 was all for nothing? or will you release it as a last Hellsing distribution?
    it’s a pity to have those projects discontinued..

    How is it a pity? It was a free fansub. They weren’t going to get paid anything at all anyway.

    It’s a pity on us because we won’t get the episodes, but we can always go out and buy the DVDs.

    Besides, AonE is still doing Michiko to Hatchin which I think is a great anime.

    That’s not the case everywhere. And even so would you enjoy fansubs or official subs more? Couple that with the low DVD resolution and the plain ugly font without styling…

    oh well, as expected, I’m glad I didn’t put my hopes up on nabari, as I predicted, darn DCMA.. anyway, I do understand the global crisis and its hard for a company to sell animes if no ones gonna buy it because of free subs… but such people who can’t buy those are in a bad situation… >_> I wish someday, you can still finish subbing this though… :cry: 7eps left and nabari’s going to finish.. *sigh*

    yes, its a pity for us, but we can also get it elsewhere. also, buying the DVDs isnt the case everywhere.
    but what i really meant to be a pity, is all the work they put into Hellsing 5 and now it would all have been for naught.. u get my point now?

    Because they’re dropping some projects, you think that they are going to pick up the new FMA anime?

    Anyway, as of right now, the only group that I think will do a good job with the FMA anime (i.e. based on who confirmed to be doing it) is Taka.

    From what ive seen taka do with Naruto Shippuuden, it doesnt seem like they will do that good of a job, altho thats just my opinion.

    Those are horrible. Yes, I do realize that Taka isn’t a high quality group, but they’re more like a medium quality group.

    Overall, I like their releases of Shippuden and Regios. If no other good group picks up FMA, then I’ll watch it with Taka.

    time to grab the remaining TS off perfect dark that animeone havent finished and do my own encode of it. i guess ill to borrow rumi’s sub. will do the same style of animeone so its gonna look like it came from the group.

    reason its better to do hd than wait for the funimation dvd of this series is that the video qualit of upscaled is alot better than SD dvd. so watch out my rls if i plan to rls. cross finger cos idk if there are users in perfect dark who have the raw, ts.

    For those not aware, Michiko 17 and Macross F 21 are released, and have been announced in the link posted 5 comments above this one.

    Pretty safe to say, I think, that that’ll be the new site to check for AonE stuff.

    Eh. I actually like AonE’s release of Eden of the East. I was watching with Frostii, but even the fact that AonE has the OP and ED translated with karaoke is pretty good.

    I think that AonE staff should update this site or their new one…a major update.
