Hellsing Ultimate OVA 5 Postponed

Don’t come blaming us, but the release date of Hellsing Ultimate OVA 5 in Japan has been pushed back to November 21. (It was originally scheduled for release today.) Obviously we can’t fansub something that hasn’t even been released yet, right?
Not TOO surprising since every volume has been delayed but it’s pretty annoying and very unprofessional to announce it the week of the release. I’m still excited for it since Madhouse has taken over the production.
Oooh, I kinda forgot about the last and final OVA!

I can’t tell if its because MadHouse is working on it or it was just ment to be but did anyone think that this was kind of boring? Walter was still a badass but and the nazi eating a baby makes me lol but all in all this just seemed like plot episode
especially after they made a point to include Zorin Blitz and The Captain but none of them fought 
oh well, it was still good but its gonna be a mighting long wait untill OVA 6

This episode wasnt completly pants. but I think they could of done it better.
Its basicaly a story trailer like episode.
they just putting the players out on the board. showing you that this and that will happen but leaving the actualy hapening part for OVA 6
im anticipating OVA 6 will consisit of Seres’s show down with zorin and mabye ending it on Alucards return to london from the ship or mabye ending on alucard reelasing riscition Zero and releasing his amry of souls.

I believe it is contracted that they cannot dub the series until after 6-8 months the RAW is released.

Well hellsing OVA 5is out in RAW. There are even versions out in xvid with AVC 5.1 surround sound. the only thing missing is subtitles. Anime what are you guys doing? the damned anime has been out for 2 weeks. As it came out Novermber 21. Where are teh fansubs? where si the love?

Japanese is a difficult language where alot of words have double meaning and the grammer is totaly different from ours, making an exact translation nearly impossible.
so be glad that there are people who take the time and effort to not only learn this language but even take the time to translate it into an english sub and even hand them out for FREE, EVEN to impatient basterds… i think that is pretty impressive and all the bitchers out there just shut up or die already, pick one

you can get a RAW from about every torrent site around, and as soon as a sub is released, you can find both the hard-subbed as the srt/ssa trough a quick google search

My friend and I are starting a sub for this. I speak fluent Japanese and have subbed for anime previously. We can work quickly and if we go ahead we will attempt to have this done within a forntnight.
Although there’s also a chance we might not do it at all, we’re still discussing. But if we do decide to, we’ll stick to that timeframe.

What the hell is the goddamn difference? They both play the same way. Take what you get, the thing is hi-def and has proper subs that the guy spent a lot of time on with his Japanese friend. It’s high quality. So it’s .mkv? So what? Deal with it. If you want an .avi so bad, then convert the damn file and upload it yourself! Ungrateful bitches…

OVA 6 can’t be the last since there are 10 volumes of Hellsing manga and volumes 6/7 contain Zorins fight i heard they were going to drag out the OVA to 10 episodes to make it relate to the manga’s released state which would explain why they pulled out OVA 5 so that everything matched up. I know that the sub for Hellsing is good but it would take a long time to get the offical translation, gather the voice actors and do all the recording due to forever changing release date, people should be happy with the subbed version or they could just READ THE DAMN MANGA!!! its exactly the same almost word for word. The manga is fully complete now so its only up to the creators of the OVA to get their arses into gear and produce it… however earlier delays on the first few are no doubt to the manga-ka being a fat old man that manages to write one volume a year
he created such an amazzing manga but im sure he annoyed his publisher,
.mkv is better, its newer tech, almost all good videos are in this format now, its flat-out better, VLC plays them, and if you need codecs to play it go to http://www.cccp-project.net/ and install their codec pack.
I have yet to get the sub file, I am hoping DemonRin’s subs are up soon, but we shall see haha
dude if you don’t know why people dislike MKV i,ll explain. you cant stream it to your PS3 or Xbox 360 and that sucks. so please for gods sake do a MP4 or an AVI if possible. once you watch anime on your HD tv you’ll never watch it on a PC again. thanks for all your hard work, im not trying to be a douche.
if you have an HDtv, just get a VGA cable and connect your PC to the TV. You can get them fairly cheap at newegg.com. (under $20) and if you want to go even cheaper, depending on if you have one installed you can use an s-video cable,(under $10) but that almost defeats the purpose of HD. And if you have a Destop, just get a DVI to HDMI, however those can run quite expensive. (sometimes over $100)
MKV and MP4 usually contain the same streams… I have seen very few anime subs use any features of MKV not available in MP4 (Like DVD-like menus..)
If you have an MKV, you can just demux it and have the raw x264 stream and whatever audio stream is inside, and remux it to MP4 without having to even reencode anything.
So unless you require a specific x264/h264 profile or bitrate (like for iPod) you wouldn’t have to even encode the existing video stream again.
Even zombies could use the tools included in megui to do this task.
Even re encoding from x264 source to xvid, and ac3/dts to mp3 is doable so you can package it into an AVI if desired.
I wish people would stop whining when groups choose to provide files in MKV for people who can use it, when its trivial to convert it down to AVI, and many groups provide both formats anyway.

I just renamed the files to SUB and it worked. I just finished watching it and I’m really happy with it although I was expecting to see more of Alucard, but the massacre is a fact and I’m pleased with it
so has it bee released by aone yet? im waiting for an xvid version to be released hopefully. jus my preference to watch it on my tv,

firstly, thanks for the comments.
About the MKV/xvid thing, as others have said, MKV is something you should probably learn to like, because it’s going to become more prominent, and it’s already the format of choice.
I personally won’t be releasing another version of this in avi, so for those of you who would like an avi, just use the standalone subs file, and load it up with one of the avi’s that are currently floating around on the net. The timings should be the same
where would get this stand alone sub file as well as an avi version? so animeone will not sub this?
so will animeone still be releasing it, i dont care jus if they will be and if they will release an xvid version, + yes yes ive read about mkv and such being the no1 preference, its just some ppl like to watch it on their tv jus for the comfort.

My god thats all too annoying…they are doing their best to get everything subbed and such. just be patient and eventually it’ll come out. i mean hell its hard enough for them to have to do all the animation let alone fit it in to a round time limit, and then they have to get the voice actors to say what they need to say theyre lines on time and with the right feel of emotion. and during all this they keep getting pressured by theyre publisher and theyre fans on release dates. then they finnally get it out and people bitch about how long it takes to sub and that they need to get it done sooner. its almost a fucking hour long episode a peice that they have to put the right words for each and every line after they have already had to learn what words, phrases, and lines are the right ones. when they finnally get that done someone puts it on a few websites here and there after they get it. during each and every second of all of this after the first episode of a good anime a lot of people bitch about it, and personnally its annoying to me and if its annoying to me with how many ppl bitch about this and that on shit that they cant rush or change it must be pretty stressful to have to hear it constantly for the people that kind enough to do all that for us even though they dont get much apreciation for it in the end of it all. i mean hell id like to see any of you do their job faster and better than them with just as much bitching and complaining that they have to deal with. so with all do respect shut up, sit down, and wait patiently for the next arrival, because theres animes out there that never get finished bcuz workers can’t deal with the bull shit that people put them through. i am one hell of an impatient guy and even i have enough patience to wait for the next episode, subbings, and such. bleach is 20 sum minute long episode anime that is good i will say but it isnt as complex to set up as this anime so theres no comparison there, not to mention an episode of that is half as long as an episode of this, so yeah it takes quite a bit of time to prep compared to bleach’s episodes. so yet again with all do respect just give it some time and give them some gratitude theyre even willing to do such things for us. and no generally im not an asshole if any of you are thinking that, its just annoying to see so much bullshit when somebodys doing something nice for someone. plus last time i checked no ones paying to see this right? well then enjoy it damnit and let it be what it is.
