Yozakura Quartet 03

Posted by lambchopsil in releases

Yikes, a cute doggy! And then Gin screws the whole thing up. I wanna kill Gin! I liked the dog!

Anyways, episode 3 of our lovely little quartet is out.

I’m hoping the next news post is about our unreleased projects, but *sigh*, it’s sad that we can’t pass the QC checks…

Double Delight – Michiko to Hatchin 01 & Yozakura Quartet 02

Posted by crumja in releases

Hey guys,

Since lambchopsil is sleeping, I’m here to make tonight’s release announcement. Here’s a cookie to those who were disappointed by our dropping Shikabane (I know, we hated to do it too).

Yozakura Quartet Ep 02 finishes adding Rin to the main troupe. Can’t wait to see what adventures she’s up to and what troubles she’ll cause.

The other release is the first episode of our new show. Michiko to Hatchin is about a strange combination of two individuals who are on the escape from something. Brought to you by the same ppl who worked on shows like Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. Exciting stuff. The subs are done by a joint between AnimeONE and our friends in Animanda.

1280×720 MKV Softsub x264 HD

There should be an SD version released soon.

SD version is out

Bonus finding: With any luck, you’ll see one more series come out of AonE this fall.

Hellsing Ultimate OVA 5 Postponed

Posted by lambchopsil in Anime

Don’t come blaming us, but the release date of Hellsing Ultimate OVA 5 in Japan has been pushed back to November 21. (It was originally scheduled for release today.) Obviously we can’t fansub something that hasn’t even been released yet, right?

Shikabane Hime Aka Dropped (sorta)

Posted by lambchopsil in Site News

Well, technically not really dropped, since we never actually released an episode yet…

Due to the recent announcement by FUNimation Entertainment that they will be streaming Shikabane Hime Aka on YouTube and Hulu, we have decided against releasing any episodes of this show. We are sorry if any of you were waiting for our version of this show and if so, we invite you to watch it legally when FUNimation releases it this Friday (October 24th).

It is unsure whether the AnimeONE & AnimeYuki team will be doing anything this season to replace Shikabane, but if we do, we’ll post something as soon as we release!

Thanks for your support.

Yozakura Quartet – New Project!!!

Posted by lambchopsil in releases

Here’s the first of our new projects! A lovely new series called Yozakura Quartet. And episode 1 is out~

Basically, it’s about youkai, which you can think of as spirits, that have historically been antagonized by humans. Sakura-Shin is a youkai city jointly led by humans and youkai. Meanwhile, evil youkai strive to break the peace.

The “Quartet” in the name refers to the main group of 4 characters that aim to keep the peace.

And the reason I know so much is because…this is my first fansub project with AonE since…my break that lasted too long…

Note: We are NOT doing an HD version of this

Recruitment Drive

Posted by crumja in Site News

AnimeONE is always looking to bolster its ranks with new recruits. Our regular channel on Rizon, #aone-recruit, is easy to miss for most people who get their updates through the web. Therefore, we’re announcing here certain positions that we’re recruiting for the fall.

We’re primarily looking for translators and raw cappers. If you have a good knowledge of Japanese, as in being able to get a correct raw rendition of what is said, consider joining us. If you have access to .TS files for shows airing in Japan, we’re interested in you as well.

We are also looking to hire typesetters (TS) and quality checkers (QC). TS must be able to process effects in ASS and AFX. QCs have no specific qualification requirements, but you need to take a test before joining. If you think you are exceptionally talented in any other particular area, feel free to contact one of the ops in #aone-recruits.

What are the benefits of joining us? Well, I think we’re the oldest subbing group that’s still active; that’s easily seen in the amount of accumulated knowledge (and collective subbing years) in the staff channel. We’ve developed a reputation as a quality group that stresses timely releases without compromising quality. The techniques we use to maintain the quality include: a thorough review of the episode prior to release, close-knit teams that have good chemistry, and peer support for difficult parts of the job.

Aside from that, being part of the group means that you’ll be able to influence which show we subtitle. Also, unlike many other groups today, we won’t force you to stay up late at some ungodly hour just to meet a strict release deadline.

More than that though, the people here are among the friendliest and most welcoming of any group. Many people I’ve talked to have said that they joined AnimeONE because of the community. It truly is a great place to socialize and make lifelong friends. We’d like to invite you to be part of that community.

See you at #aone-recruit@irc.rizon.net
